Required Documents

You will need to submit documents AFTER submitting an online application in the applicable portal.
This list of documents is meant to provide a guide for applicants.

Additional documents may be required. Please review all information sent to you by Nipissing University for further information.

English Language Proficiency Requirements

If English isn’t your first language, you’ll need to meet Nipissing’s English-language test requirements. 

Undergraduate Programs & Consecutive Education

  1. Only for Ontario High school students:
    • Grade 11 and 12 course/grade information and OSSD status are sent to the Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC) by your guidance counsellor of your behalf. It is your responsibility to ensure that the information sent is accurate. We suggest that you regularly log in to your OUAC application and review the courses and grades submitted on your behalf. All courses and grade information can be found under the Supporting Documents/Academic Information section of your application. An email is sent to you from OUAC when this section is updated.
  2. Only for Canadian (Not Ontario) High school students:
    • Official secondary school transcripts showing all courses completed and/or in progress. If in progress courses cannot be listed on an official transcript have your guidance counsellor send an email to [email protected] listing all current in progress courses. Midterm grades should also be included in the email if available.
  3. Official transcripts from ALL postsecondary institutions previously or currently attended including on a Letter of Permission, on an Exchange program, and non-Canadian institutions, whether they are related to the program applied to or not.
  4. English Language Proficiency (ELP) results (when required): If English isn’t your first language, you’ll need to meet Nipissing’s English-language test requirements.
  5. Copy of passport (primarily for international applicants)

  1. Official transcripts from ALL postsecondary institutions previously or currently attended including on a Letter of Permission, on an Exchange program, and non-Canadian institutions, whether they are related to the Bachelor of Education program or not.
  2. English Language Proficiency (ELP) results (when required): If English isn’t your first language, you’ll need to meet Nipissing’s English-language test requirements.
  3. Copy of passport (primarily for international applicants)

Graduate Programs

For the documents below, when we refer to:

  • Domestic Applicants: This means Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • International Applicants: This means applicants who are studying in Canada (on a study permit), in Canada as a refugee claimant (you have applied for refugee protection but have not yet had a final decision on your claim), or you are studying or have completed your studies in another country (no status in Canada)
