This dynamic program explores ethics, logic, political philosophy, metaphysics, epistemology, and more, helping students develop analytical skills, persuasive communication, and intellectual flexibility, all essential for success in a wide range of careers.

Our Philosophy program provides a strong foundation in historical and contemporary philosophical traditions while allowing you to tailor your studies to your interests. In this program you’ll explore: 

  • Ethics & Political Philosophy – Learn about the foundations of morality, justice, and governance. 
  • Logic & Critical Reasoning – Discover how to construct, analyze, and critique arguments effectively. 
  • Metaphysics & Epistemology – Investigate questions about existence, knowledge, and reality. 
  • Philosophy of Mind & Language – Study consciousness, identity, and the structure of meaning. 
  • Applied Philosophy – Examine ethical dilemmas in law, medicine, business, and the environment.

Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission, students must meet the General Admission Requirements, plus program specific prerequisites.

General Admission Requirements include:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma including six 4U/4M courses

I spend a lot of time at the athletic center but I also love the Library and another cool spot is the theater. I would go there to do some homework sometimes. There are a lot of cool small spots which you wouldn’t find in a big school.

I really like the campus trails. There is this one spot on the South Duchesnay trail where you can see all the way up College Drive, the City of North Bay and the waterfront. It looks really cool when the sun is setting.
