This one-year Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in General Management is designed for students with a non-business undergraduate degree who wish to gain foundational business knowledge. It provides essential training in key management disciplines; ideal for career changers, professionals enhancing credentials, or international students seeking exposure to business practice in a Canadian context.
Program Highlights
Students will complete a core set of business courses that build a strong foundation in key areas such as accounting, marketing, management, human resources, ethics, and business law. Core coursework includes Foundations of Business, Introductory Financial Accounting, Marketing Concepts, Organizational Behaviour, Business Decision Making, and Commercial Law, providing essential knowledge for a wide range of business roles.
Students will also choose six additional credits from electives in finance, economics, marketing, business management, or related areas, allowing them to tailor the program to their career interests. Eligible students may choose to complete a 12-week co-op internship (420+ hours), gaining valuable hands-on experience and industry exposure. Throughout the program, students benefit from small-group learning and an industry-informed curriculum designed to support career readiness and professional growth.
