Shape Sustainable, Resilient Communities Across Northern Ontario and Beyond

Nipissing University’s Bachelor of Community Planning prepares you to shape the places where people live, work, and connect. Studying in North Bay, you’ll learn in a region where planning decisions directly influence housing, infrastructure, economic development, environmental stewardship, and community wellbeing.

As communities across Northern Ontario and Canada respond to growth, climate change, housing pressures, and evolving infrastructure needs, planners play an increasingly important role in building resilient futures. Through hands-on learning, field experiences, and interdisciplinary study, you’ll develop the knowledge and practical skills to help communities navigate complex challenges and create meaningful change.

My favourite parts are the class sizes and how informative and helpful the profs are! All of them are experienced in their fields, and can provide students with in depth knowledge from real-world situations. Nipissing is a place to grow academically and as a individual!
