Our innovative concurrent program is designed to provide a robust foundation in educational theory, practical teaching strategies, and hands-on classroom experience, preparing you for a rewarding career in education.

- Start Teaching Preparation Early: Begin developing your teaching skills in your first year with specialty education courses alongside your undergraduate studies.
- Clear 6-Year Program Structure: Spend your first four years focused on your academic discipline and foundational education courses, followed by two professional years dedicated to education, placement, and experiential learning.
- Professional Years Built Around Practice: Years five and six combine advanced education courses with hands-on placements and experiential learning to prepare you for real classroom environments.
- Extensive Practicum Experience: Complete 19 weeks of practicum during the professional years, gaining meaningful classroom experience before you graduate.
- Supportive Community & Career Readiness: Learn in small classes with strong faculty mentorship and graduate ready to apply for Ontario teacher certification with confidence.

Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission, students must meet the General Admission Requirements, plus program specific prerequisites.
General Admission Requirements include:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma including six 4U/4M courses

- Available Part-time except for Bachelor of Physical Health & Education (BPHE) and the final 2 years of the program – the BEd years.
